The Moving Image

September 21st & 22nd 2017 (Thursday & Friday)  

This two day course will explore the potential of moving-images in relation to your art practice. We will experiment with ways of combining hands-on making with digital technology to create short films and animated sequences. Through structured activities and self-directed making, you will be guided through various approaches of sequencing, layering, re-drawing, re-sculpting, morphing your subjects and documenting the process, culminating in a screening and group discussion. The workshop aims to offer an experimental approach to the medium of animation and will be useful to students working across drawing, painting, print and sculpture curious to see their work thrown into motion.
