Surface and the possibilities in painting (NEW)

 Exploring different surfaces and materials as a way to make paintings. The course would allow the class to think beyond painting conventionally with an aim of widening students visual vocabulary through the use of materials. I think the best way to around this would be to start the course with a short lecture about artists who use different materials to make paintings. The idea would be to widen the students perception and think about the possibilities that exist within painting. Hopefully students lose there inhibitions and engage with the physical elements of painting and process. Some materials provided.
