This week begins with the launch of an exciting London exhibition of the work of 8 Seawhite Studio artists, Rock Paper Scissors, curated by Emily Ball and Katie Sollohub. It's an inspiring start to the Winter months ahead!
Looking further ahead to sunnier, brighter days, we are pleased to announce our 2018, Summer School courses and Portugal course - Painting from Nature. This exciting exhibition featuring Seawhite Studio artists, is the second Seawhite show at the RK Burt Gallery giving students the opportunity to exhibit in a London Gallery. It's a wonderful show, bringing together diverse, dynamic and inspiring work.

Summer School 2018
Painting on location surrounded by the spectacular white cliffs and ever changing coastal landscapes of Cuckmere Haven, is an opportunity not too be missed. Based at The Coastguards Cottage for the first 2 days, you will have the perfect spot to set up your easel and sketch and paint. Returning to the Seawhite Studio, you will have a further 3 days to develop your work from the initial studies.
The course provides space for experimentation and risk taking, giving opportunties to develop work from a more personalised and expressive response.

Painting from Nature - Portugal 2018
Our Painting from Nature course is a wonderful opportunity to experience and paint the stunning landscapes of this wonderful location by the sea. Together with the relaxing surroundings of the beautiful villa and its gardens and the delicious food provided by our host Rosaline, its a very popular course and places book up quickly. All art materials, food and accommodation are included in the fee, but not flights. If students wish to have a single room there will be a supplement to pay of £175 for the week.

The Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize, is an exciting opportunity for all artists looking to develop their career.
"Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize 2018 will be awarded to artists that show significant potential, interesting ideas, a relevant message and skillful execution. We understand that talented artists exist in many forms, so endeavour to appeal to emerging artists of all ages and career paths, whether student, graduate, full-time or part-time, and from any country.
Ashurst's aim in sponsoring the Emerging Artist Prize and Emerging Artist Programme is to find, build and support the careers of talented international emerging artists and get their art seen by a wider audience".

There are £7,000 of prizes and exhibitions. Entrants works are see by a renowned panel of judges and two new judges have been announced, Anthony Fawcett and David Anfam. The winners will be invited to curate, with the support of the organisers, an exhibition of their artworks in the Ashurst Emerging Artists Gallery and HQ for 2nd July to 30th September 2017.
